When generating a product feed, it is important to exclude draft products from the feed to ensure accuracy. In WooCommerce, setting a parent product to draft status does not automatically change the status of its associated variations, which remain in a published state in the database. This inconsistency can cause logical conflicts when the Product Feed Manager plugin fetches data from the WooCommerce database.
As a result, the feed generated by the Product Feed Manager may include variations whose parent products are in draft status. However, starting from version 7.4.6 and above, the Product Feed Manager addresses this issue.
To exclude draft products from the feed, please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the settings of the Product Feed Manager. Locate the function titled Update WooCommerce variation child list that has no parent assigned (abandoned child).
2. Click the Update List button. This function ensures that variations whose parent products are in draft status are excluded from the feed. Please refer to the screenshot below for further guidance:
3. Next, navigate to your feed and manually update the feed.
That’s all—your draft products will no longer be included in your feed.
